The talk of the fashion crowd at Milan fashion week has been that of Lithuanian model Auguste Tomasuite, a.k.a. Auguste Abeliunaite, and her tears shed while walking at Jil Sander. Everyone has wanted to know just what caused the model to cry, and her agent has finally come up with an explanation: her light-colored eyes. From Heard on the Runway -
“She has delicate eyes,” said Mr. Piazzi. “We were laughing with the casting director after the show.” It is true that Ms. Abeliunaite has extremely pale blue eyes, which tend to have more light-sensitivity than irises of darker pigmentation.
