flora+fauna

flower motifs are sprouting up on many a runway in new york and london. floral is always a strong spring trend, but designers are amplifying the print into fields of floral dresses, dizzying layers of petals and stems, and realistic digital prints. no longer reserved for subtle embellishments, flowers are growing wild across the fabric of spring.

Miranda July at Rodarte via nymag.com

Artist/director/writer/all-around creative Miranda July has (fittingly) chosen Rodarte to design her wedding dress. And a beautiful marriage it is (that, of course, of Rodarte and July). What to expect? "July said the design process entailed telling her friends what she liked from their past collections" (WWD). The wedding date is set for May and surely July's Rodarte dress will be killer.
